About a year and a half ago, my wife persuaded me to take a class in gourd decorating. This was the start of my addiction to gourds, so I started growing them! Since my garden space is rather limited, I built an upside down U-shaped trellis for the gourd plants. The trellis is about six feet tall and fifty feet long and the gourds hang down inside--my wife calls it, “our backyard eye sore.” Gourds come in practically all shapes and sizes. I am currently growing gourds in several shapes, as well as designing and decorating them. Call me if you would like to share gourd ideas.

Every house there is surrounded by a garden and when the gourd dries in the sun it hardens and it can be used for everything.
