Sharon Patrick

Sharon Patrick attended the University of New Mexico, Fine Arts College in the early 70’s.  Later she worked in a small jewelry manufacturing shop, where Sharon was given the opportunity to create jewelry from the design to a finished piece of art. Learning the many steps first hand was the beginning of a beautiful awakening for her.

Sharon and her husband, Scott, moved to Scottsdale Arizona, where they worked with Circle Fine Arts to help design and create limited edition Art to Wear jewelry for such artists as Erte, Vasarely, and Mucha.  After eight years, they returned to the Land of Enchantment where Sharon continued her passion of art with jewelry.

Later she added a new facet of creating: gourds carved, stained and adorned.   She now combines her knowledge of jewelry with her creative inspirations of gourds.

Sharon currently shows her gourds at the ‘Yucca Art Gallery’ in Old Town.

One of her gourds was on view in The Fine Arts Gallery at the 2007 New Mexico State Fair.  Her jewelry is shown in gift shops and many jewelry catalogs throughout the United States. Sharon is also a member of Rio Rancho Art Association and New Mexico Gourd Society.

Every house there is surrounded by a garden and when the gourd dries in the sun it hardens and it can be used for everything.
