WHAT ARE WE DOING?
We’re excited to share a fun and useful project that shares your love of gourds. Join us for our September 12th meeting!
For those coming in August, we will pass out a shard to you. You can “wood burn” your name on your shard ahead of time, or you can just trace your name and use your identi-pen. I put a little dragon fly on mine. You can add anything you want, or embellish it any way you want.
I wanted to share this now so you could pick up a shard in advance. If you are not coming to the meeting, you can pick up a shard at my house in Placitas, or Charmaine’s in Albuquerque.
I can also send you your name in this cool font. You can size/resize it in Word or any other program. And trace it onto your shard, or you can write your name “free hand.” Anything goes!!!!!
Now, if you have a really long name, well, you’ll just have to write your name smaller. The shards are not THAT big! Let me know if you would like me to send you your name in this font! Should be Fun!!!!!!
HOW MUCH?
- Project Cost: $5

- Please RSVP YES or NO by Thursday, September 09, 2026, so we can prepare supplies for this class/project.
CLASS SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Please bring:
- A clean, gourd shard.
- Apron.
- Several paint brushes.
- One brush at least 1/2″ wide.
- A brush that you will paint glue on with. (In other words, a crummy brush).
- NMGS will be providing:
- Tissue
- Glue
- Paper Towels
- Cups
